Reason #123646191873 why I love living in California, I CAN WEAR CROP TOPS IN WINTER. The past few weeks it has definitely been beach weather, but all of sudden it decided to drop below 60 during the week, rude. ANYWAYS, last weekend I decided to go with a chic, street look. I’ ve been obsessing over red lately, maybe it’s cause of Valentines day, or cause I’m in love, or because it’s just cute! Hahaa. Whatever the reason may be, catch me in red all Winter/Spring long.

I typically don’t match this much, but each piece in this outfit was extremely distinct and unique. It was the details throughout this look that really pulled it together, avoiding that “matchy-matchy” look. The shoes had a puff ball which I ADORED, they reminded me of the modernized plastic shoes I always wore as a child!

Pero bueno, el Sábado pasado decidí ponerme un chic, street look. Ha estado obsesionada con el color rojo, tal vez es por el día de San Valentin, o porque estoy enamorada, o simplemente porque es un color lindo! Jaja. De cualquier manera rojo va ser mi color el resto del Invierno.

Normalmente no cotejo mis vestuarios taaaanto, pero cada pieza en este outfit fue único. Fueron los detalles que hicieron todo lucir. Los zapatos tenían una bolita y me encantaron! Me recordaban de la version modernos de los zapatos plásticos que use como niña.

DENIM ON DENIM

Hey dolls! This denim on denim look was perfect for “winter” in California haha. The denim jacket was from my local Goodwill, and I distressed it myself! I love distressing my own stuff because I get to design it, and it’s WAY cheaper. For instance, this jacket at a regular retail store would’ve been at least $50, buuuut I got it for $10 🙂

Okay so THESE SHOES have been my ABSOLUTE favorite! The color, texture and fit add the STAR factor to any look (my boyfriend thinks they look like soccer cleats HAHA). Whenever I create a denim on denim look, I prefer that the denims match. So I wore these two toned jeans and it meshed perrrrfectly with the jacket. I threw my hair up in a power pony because I’ve been too busy to actually do my hair haha. BUT I also love ponytails, with the right outfit it really helps emphasize your look!

Hola muñecas! Este denim en look denim fue perfecto para “invierno” en California jaja. ¡La chaqueta de mezclilla era de la segunda, y la modernize haciendo los rips! Me encanta romper mis propias cosas porque los puedo diseñar y es MUCHO más barato. Por ejemplo, esta chaqueta en una tienda normal habría sido al menos $50, pero yo solo page $10 🙂

¡ESTOS ZAPATOS han sido mis favoritos! El color y la textura hacen que cualquier look tenga el WOW factor. Cuando creo un denim en denim look, prefiero que los denims sean del mismo color. Así que me puse estos jeans de dos tonos y se vio perfecto con la chaqueta. Tiré mi cabello en una colita porque he estado muy ocupada para peinarme, jaja. PERO también me encantan colitas, ¡Realmente ayuda a enfatizar tu look!

I never thought I’d be one to wear pants with cutouts this explicit, but when I saw them I had to have them! The fit of the jeans was definitely “mom style” which is different from any other pair I have. I always aim for variety when I’m out shopping, I would hate to have the same or similar pair of anything. My wardrobe goal is to have each piece unique and distinct from the other. This makes it fairly easy to create dissimilar outfits! 🙂

I came across this sweater at my local Goodwill a few months ago and it wasn’t much to look at. It was oversized with no shape whatsoever, I decided to buy it anyways and used my nifty scissors to chop the sleeves and lower half. It then became a versatile piece that can be used in Summer or Winter! The blue shaded glasses and ruffled socks totally completely the 80’s mom vibe I had going on.

Nunca pensé que sería una para usar pantalones con recortes, pero cuando los vi tenía que tenerlos! Los pantalones eran definitivamente “estilo de mamá” que es diferente de cualquier otro par que tengo. Siempre apunto a la variedad cuando estoy de compras, odio tener el mismo par o similar de cualquier cosa. Mi meta de vestuario es tener cada pieza única y distinta de la otra. Esto hace que sea bastante fácil de crear trajes diferentes! 🙂

Me encontré con este suéter en una segunda hace unos meses y no era mucho para mirar. Estaba sobredimensionada sin forma, decidí comprarla de todos modos y usar mis tijeras para cortar las mangas y la mitad inferior. Entonces se convirtió en una pieza versátil que se puede utilizar en verano o invierno! Los lentes azules sombreadas y calcetines completaron totalmente el ambiente de mamá de los años 80 .

CREAMSICLE

Does this outfit not make you want to go out and buy a creamsicle? LOL. I enjoy creating themed outfits and this one was definitely an orange popsicle with a dash of cookies and creme 😉

I am loving this fluorescent orange! Bright, bold colors are trending this summer and it’s so great! Dark, neutral tones are all stored away in winter, but summer is the time to GLOW. I take colors so serious in fashion that I honestly feel guilty wearing black during summer. I believe that each season brings it’s fashion and they should be acknowledged!

These shorts have such a comfy, flattering fit and were initially pants. I wasn’t really feeling them, so I trimmed them to my knee and I feel as if I have a new piece of clothing now. *Tip: Before throwing away an old piece of clothing, set it aside and try to imagine how you could recreate it and turn it into something new!

¿Este look no te hace querer salir y comprar una creamsicle? Jajaja Disfruto creando outfits temáticos y éste era definitivamente un popsicle anaranjado con un toce de cookies n creme 😉

¡Estoy amando este color naranja! ¡Los colores brillantes, audaces están en la moda este verano y me encanta! Los tonos oscuros y neutrales se almacenan en el invierno, pero el verano es el momento de brillar. Tomo colores tan serios en la moda que honestamente me siento culpable de usar negro durante el verano. Creo que cada temporada trae su moda y deben ser reconocidos!

Estos pantalones cortos tienen un ajuste tan cómodo y fueron inicialmente pantalones. Realmente no me gustaban, así que los recorté a mi rodilla y siento como si ahora tuviera una nueva pieza de ropa. * Consejo: Antes de tirar una vieja pieza de ropa, ponla a un lado e intenta imaginar cómo puedes recrearla y convertirla en algo nuevo!
